Who I am?

My journey as a photographer truly began in late 2018 when I moved into my new apartment. Bare walls and a tight budget sparked an idea: instead of typical paintings or mass-produced photos, I decided to decorate with my own snapshots. This approach carried over to my travels across Europe and Spain. Casual photos, doubles as travel mementos, became my way of capturing moments—until the pandemic hit.

Before photography, I was a doctor, practicing for a few years with passion. The pandemic changed everything. Fear of infection, both for myself and my loved ones, mixed with the uncertainty of limited clinical experience, a sense of responsibility, and endless work hours left scars I’m still healing. That’s where photography came in.

By early 2021, sleep was scarce, with frequent wake-ups and heart palpitations before heading to work. That was the moment I realized I needed a different way to live. I stumbled upon stock photography—hundreds of photos, sessions, or casual shots. It lasted months, with minimal earnings, barely covering the hours spent on tutorials or equipment costs. Worse, it prioritized quantity over quality.

I must say, I’m fascinated by portraits, but I’m equally drawn to editing and conveying messages through the composition of my photos. A flaw, perhaps—I can easily spend days on a single image until it connects, until it tells me what I need. Then came NFTs, discovered through a YouTube interview about stock photography.

In early 2022, after the NFT boom, I saw a technology that promised artists a way to live off their art, selling globally for impressive sums. Real art, not a photography production line. That’s when Colors of Seville was born—photos I took in that stunning city in early 2021, shot with my phone after studying the rule of thirds and color theory. A collection of photography NFTs as collectibles, with limited editions. I started minting on OpenSea, but gradually dove deeper into blockchain and Web3—a world of freedom where artists can authenticate and distribute their work without third-party permission. I studied and deployed my smart contracts on Polygon POS, minting over 7,000 NFTs in a year. It also helped heal the wounds from the pandemic, which left me exhausted and on leave for a significant period.

Today, in 2025, that era is behind me, but I remain passionately driven by decentralized authentication through blockchain. New blockchain, The Blockchain—Ethereum—new contracts, but my four beloved collections keep growing, photo by photo, moment by moment. Enjoy them with me! :)
